Step 1: Fly to Sea-Tac Airport
We suggest flying into Sea-Tac if you are coming from far away. You can rent a car at the airport, or talk to us if you need help coordinating carpools.
(Alternative option: Fly into the Bellingham International Airport. This is only a 1-hour drive from the ferry, but more expensive to fly into.)
If you are coming from Portland, you may skip this step and drive directly to Anacortes (4-6 hours depending on traffic).
Step 2: Drive to Anacortes and Take Ferry
From Sea-Tac, plan on a 2-3 hour drive to Anacortes depending on traffic. Be sure to drive to the “Guemes Island Ferry Terminal” in Anacortes, NOT the main ferry terminal in Anacortes.
From the Guemes Island Ferry Terminal, drive onto the ferry for a short 5-minute ride to the island. The ferry runs continuously to and from the island from 6:30am-11pm Fri/Sat and 8am-10pm Sun. Note that there might be a wait to get on the ferry.
Option to purchase your ferry ticket when you get to the terminal, or purchase online ahead of time.
Step 3: Drive to Guemes Island Resort
Once you are on the island, it’s a 10-minute drive to get to Guemes Island Resort, which is on the other side of the island. There is parking onsite.
